My Story

I gave birth on 14th October 2023 at 12 midnight and from then I couldn't hold my urine. I was inserted the catheter that was to be changed after every two weeks. But I didn't wait for two weeks, I used to change it after every four days and it was the most stressful period of my life. I stay with Fistula for 6 months. I couldn't eat or sleep. I was wondering what had happened to me. My mental health was not okay. I didn't know if I'll ever get back to my normal life.At some point, I even thought I was going to die. Until Dr.Arero from Marsabit Hospital gave us Talaso's number who helped us. She took us to Nyambene hospital with all expenses catered for. I underwent the reconstructive surgery and after two weeks, the catheter was removed and I regain my normal life back. I am so grateful for the help the team at 100 bob Initiative gave me.
